DAY 1: SANTA CRUZ HIGHLANDS & CHARLES DARWIN STATION

Arrive to Baltra Airport. Reception and transfer. Ferry crossing to Santa Cruz Island (10 min-ride). Arrive to Santa Cruz Island. Stop in highlands of Santa Cruz where you will visit a Giant Tortoise Reserve for an easy hike to observe to Giant Tortoises in their natural habitat. Transfer to the Casa Natura Galapagos hotel and check in. In the afternoon visit to The Charles Darwin Research Station where you’ll learn by first hand, the conservation and research efforts in the Galapagos Islands. See the tortoise hatchlings and breeding programs which are saving several races of tortoises from extinction. Also, the opportunity to see the giant Galapagos tortoises. Later you’ll try on diving equipment. Overnight at the Casa Natura Galapagos hotel in Santa Cruz Island. (L)

DAY 2: DIVING EXCURSION

Breakfast at Casa Natura Galápagos Lodge. Transfer to the pier to start the diving excursion which will be in shared services to any of the following islands available:

You´ll take lunch on board. In the afternoon transfer to the Lodge and overnight. Overnight at the Casa Natura Galapagos Lodge in Santa Cruz Island. (B, L) *Diving places may change according divers level and availability. Speed boats are capacity for 8 divers.

DAY 3: DIVING EXCURSION

Breakfast at Casa Natura Galápagos Lodge. Transfer to the pier to start the diving excursion which will be in shared services to any of the following islands available:

DAY 4: FULL DAY SAILING TOUR

Breakfast at the Casa Natura Galapagos Lodge. Transfer to the pier to take boat for a shared daily tour to North Seymour, Plazas Island, Bartolome or Santa Fe islands (according availability). Look at the links for tour description. In the afternoon transfer to the hotel. Overnight at the lodge in Santa Cruz Island. (B, L)

DAY 5: TRANSFER OUT BALTRA AIRPORT

Breakfast at Casa Natura Galapagos Lodge and transfer out to Baltra airport. Flight back to mainland for connections or visit Ecuador. (B). End of services.

REQUIREMENT

TO PERFORM DIVING PRACTICES REQUIRED

  • It is mandatory to have a diving certificate from any of the internationally recognized schools (PADI, NAUI, CMAS, SSI etc.)
  • Medical certificate in case of declaring health problems and for people over 55 who have not dived in the last 6 months.
  • Be between the ages of 13 to 65 years.
  • We accept certified beginner divers at all dive sites, except Gordon Rocks for which 30 registered dives are required or the previous evaluation of our guides, participating in other dive sites.
