Galapagos presents new alternatives for local and foreign tourists, where they will discover the treasures of this natural destination, accompanied by the aroma of coffee. Ecuador’s tourism department (Mintur) will present the history, process of sowing, drying, roasting and grinding the coffee beans produced on the islands.
This product is in its initial phase, which will join together 4 coffee producing farms with agrotouristic potential. The initiative will immerse visitors in the processes within the coffee plantations, where they will experience through experiential tourism, each of the agricultural activities on coffee, which have been done more than 100 years ago in the Galapagos. The offer will start in July, innovating the tourism of the islands and increasing the satisfaction of the visitors. This will allow tourism entrepreneurs to implement marketing strategies including coffee as a new alternative.
The Galápagos coffee is among the best in the world because its growth is in complete harmony with nature. This initiative will put Galápagos coffee as an innovative product, demonstrating the excellent quality of the local raw material. This innovative product will strengthen the tourist gastronomy offer of the islands, promoting the well-being of its inhabitants and the conservation of the Galapagos Islands.
