More than 100 tourism entrepreneurs participated in the “Galapagos Workshop”, where companies were able to conclude agreements between operators of the islands and continental Ecuador to boost tourism in the enchanted islands.
The event was held by the Ministry of Tourism through the Insular Zone Coordination, Marketing departemt, and Zonal Coordination 5. The meeting was attended by 36 tour operators, who promoted the natural beauties provided by the Galapagos Islands.
During the workshop, various types of services were offered, including accommodation on land, specialized diving tours, tourist maritime transport, experiential fishing, among others.
Galapagos’ operators made good commercial relations with tourist entrepreneurs of Guayas, Pichincha, and Loja, which would represent opportunities to create alliances, allowing them to satisfy the requirements of the tourist demand offering the best experience to the visitors.
In addition, the Galápagos Tourism Observatory was present to gather information on the number of negotiations carried out, thus being able to estimate the future impact on the economy of tourist businesses and inhabitants of the islands.
The Galapagos Islands, recognized as the first Natural Patrimony of Humanity has 180 marine and terrestrial visit sites for national and foreign tourists, in which they will be able to appreciate the local flora and fauna. The business round, year after year, seeks to promote the natural attractions and tourist services, always looking for the conservation and sustainability of this Ecuadorian jewel.
